San Jose Laughter Club

Welcome to the San Jose Laughter Club

****Please visit www.laughteryoga.org for even more information on Laughter Yoga ****

Ho Ho! Hey Hey! Come LAUGH with us in San Jose!

Laughter Yoga was developed in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria,

a Medical Doctor in Bombay, India.

Laughter exercises are practiced along with

easy stretches and yogic breathing techniques.

No jokes or comedy

are needed.

When practiced in a group, intentional laughter

quickly becomes unintentional,

and the body and mind receive all the benefits.

“It was very goofy in the beginning … but you can’t fake a laugh … Once you get into it …

the stress lifted from my soul, it lifted from my body.”

~  Reggie from the Oprah Winfrey Show on Laughter Yoga

A good, real, unrestrained, hearty laugh is a sort of glorified internal massage, performed rapidly and automatically.  It manipulates and revitalizes corners and unexplored crannies of the system that are unresponsive to most other exercise methods.  ~Author unknown

There can never be enough said of the virtues, dangers, the power of a shared laugh.  ~Françoise Sagan

Seven days without laughter makes one weak.  ~Mort Walker

We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.- Mother Teresa
